From typing to coding, Kids Comp Comp helps young learners in rural and slum communities access to quality computing training, within their community, empowering them to explore new opportunities in technology. Designed to travel and camp in a local community; Kids Comp Camp partners with local institutions to run after school programs.
To sustain the impact of Kids Comp Camp in a community, we train the wider community (Parents, Teachers & Youth) on digital and entrepreneurial skills to be better equipped to support the Kids as well as enhance their own livelihood by exploring employment, entrepreneurship, and career path opportunities in the digital economy.
Since inception in 2014, we have impacted more than 7,000 beneficiaries in Kenya and Rwanda. Ninety percent (90%) were young learners, under 18, for whom it was their first time to use a computer and 54% of the trainee were girls.
